The Georgia School of Preaching & Biblical Studies has as its primary focus the following areas of emphasis and work:
- Training preachers to serve in congregations of churces of Christ primarily in Georgia, and elswhere.
- Training Christian workers to be more effective and productive, particularly in the area of evangelism, teaching, and ministry.
- Providing in-depth study of the Biblical text, and related disciplines.
- Equipping the saints with a greater knowledge of the Word, thus helping them to reach greater levels of maturity in the faith.
- Edifying and exhorting students and graduates to aspire to event greater opportunities and degrees of study and service.
The Georgia School of Preaching & Biblilcal Studies does not seek to:
- Provide fully accredited liberal arts educational opportunities.
- Provide a full-time school of preaching model such as is the case in places like Memphis, Lakeland, Knotville, Florida, or elsewhere.
- Circumvent nor replace the equipping and training in Biblical matters that should rightly be taking place in Christian homes and in the church itself.
- Become a sounding board for brotherhood issues and matters of concern.
As part of the work of the Georgia School of Preaching, we happily serve as a referral vehicle to congregations of churches of Christ who are seeking preachers and vice versa. A thorough investigation is done in each case to help ensure that each element of this referral (both preacher and congregation) is both Biblically sound and of the highest moral and ethical integrity.
